Tacoma Out in Wright Park, July 2007

The photos in this series were taken Saturday a few hours before the official start of events and about an hour into the event as people came to walk around the booths, meet friends and watch the stage show and presentations. While this event doesn't come close in the number of people going to the Seattle events and parade, it is important to the people and sponsors in the Tacoma and South Sound area, and is sponsored by Out in Tacoma.

One note about some of the photos. Wright Park, north of downtown Tacoma, is the daytime home of some of Tacoma's homeless people, and in some ways they make an interesting compliment to me in the photo set to show the diversity of people who use the park. After all, despite what we may think, they're people too.
